THIS is not for the faint hearted - a surgeon has popped a huge abscess on a man's jaw and captured the moment on video.

Doctor Osama Makkia, 27, from Syria, spent 20 minutes scraping the pus out of his patient's abscess - which he admits is one of the biggest he has ever come across.
After qualifying five years ago, Dr Osama that believes this abscess was caused by poverty in the area and bad oral health. The abscess had only been spotted four days earlier but had grown at a rapid rate

Abscesses are very common and I have done several similar procedures in the past
Once surgery had taken place, it took three days for the patient to recover from his ordeal.
Dr Osama said: "This abscess was very large and if it hadn't been drained, it would have got bigger and bigger.
"The man felt some pain while I was removing the abscess because of the inflammation around it.

Dr Osama said he has done several similar operations in the past
It took three days for the patient to recover
"But unfortunately , abscesses are very common and I have done several similar procedures in the past.
"And I predict this won't be the last."
