Girl dies from cardiac arrest after being swept out to sea by 'freak' wave in France
A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl tragically died after she was swept out to sea along with her sister and father during a family outing in the French port town of Marseille.

Her 38-year-old father, known only as Zacharia, was rescued by a fisherman shortly after being washed into the water by the 2.5m high wave at around 6pm on Saturday.
His youngest daughter, four-year-old Djena, was pulled from the storm-beaten sea after spending "several minutes submerged underwater".
However she tragically died in hospital on Sunday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest, doctors said.
The little girl's eight-year-old sister Siryne, who was also engulfed by the wave, is still reported missing.
Rescue workers said water temperatures over the weekend "hovered at 12 degrees Celsius".

The father and his two daughters were spending the weekend in Pointe Rouge, a beachside suburb south of Marseille, and are said to have been walking along the seafront when they were hit by the wave, La Provence added.
Eleven departments in the Bouches-du-Rhone region were placed on high alert on Saturday morning for strong winds, and people had been advised to stay away from the storm-battered coast.
