German police arrest two Syrians suspected of terrorist links
GERMAN police have arrested two Syrian men, one of whom is suspected of being involved in the murder of 36 Syrian government employees in Syria in March 2013 and committing war crimes, prosecutors said today.

Abdalfatah H. A., 35, is suspected of being a member of the al-Qaeda linked Nusra Front (Jabhat al-Nusra in Arabic) and of carrying out a death sentence under Sharia law and of killing, with other members of his unit, 36 employees of the Syrian government.
Spiegel Online reported that he was an asylum seeker.
The second man, Abdulrahman A.A., 26, is also suspected of being a member of Jabhat al-Nusra and of dealing with money and transport for his unit.

Prosecutors did not say whether he was suspected of war crimes.
In Germany, suspects are only identified by their first name and initials.
Prosecutors said officers from western Germany and in south-western Baden-Wuerrtemberg took part in the police operation in Giessen and Duesseldorf.
