'I was aroused' Teenage migrant who tried to rape woman in stairwell jailed
A TEENAGE migrant has tried to justify his attempted rape by claiming he "was aroused" as he attacked a woman in Vienna.

The 16-year-old boy attacked a 32-year-old Viennese woman inside a stairwell in Austria’s capital.
The teenager was sentenced to one and a half years in jail on Tuesday in the Viennese regional court because of attempted rape.
On September 17, 2016, he attacked the woman after she had parked her bicycle.
I was aroused
The migrant asked her if she needed help to lock her bike.
But she refused the offer and said she wanted to go home, before the migrant blocked her path and tried to embrace her.
He pursued her, pushed her to the ground and groped her.
The shocking incident happened in Vienna, Austria
Prosecutor Sabine Rudas-Tschinkel said: “He told the court that he wanted to persuade her to have sex.”
The woman screamed loudly for help and kicked her attacker, who finally let her go.
However, he left traces of DNA on the victim’s clothes and after the teenager was arrested a few weeks later for shoplifting, police linked him to the assault.
The teenage migrant has been jailed
The Algerian migrant said: “I was aroused.
“These drugs made me do this, otherwise I would not have done that.”
After the interrogation, the migrant said: “I apologise sincerely and hope that you can forgive me and that you only have good things happen to you in your life.”
The migrant had come to Austria in January 2016.
