Speaking on a condition of anonymity to a South Korean news agency, the top ranking official said: “The South Korean military will form a special brigade based on that of the US sometime later this year.
“US special agents are expected to be under Korean command during the operation. Although the brigade is modelled after that in the US, it will be tailored to the special environments of the peninsula.”
The revelations of a two-pronged attack from America and South Korea comes a week after Han Min-koo, South Korea’s defence minister, revealed his bitter plan to set up a special brigade that will paralyse or completely obliterate North Korea’s wartime command structure.
The defence minister said he will launch a “kill chain” system that will eventually lead to a tirade of attacks on the North Korean leader himself.
The task force to eliminate Kim and destroy the North Korean government is expected to be 1,000 strong.
