HUNDREDS of thousands of toy eggs have washed up on a beach baffling police.
Chocolate toy eggs wash up on German beach after storm
The small and colourful capsules covered several kilometres of the beach just off Germany.
They arrived following a storm which hit Langeoog.
Police who arrived at the scene to photograph the arrivals said the eggs landed on the beach "without chocolate coating".

In a press release titled "Easter on Langeoog" they also said the eggs had good floating properties.
Children rushed to the scene to collect the toys which were inside.
One theory being raised is the eggs were part of a cargo on a ship which went overboard in the storm.

Langeoog is one of seven islands on the south of the North Sea
The water protection police is investigating the astonising arrival.
Langeoog Police published a photo of the eggs on Twitter, writing alongside: "In front of #Langeoog a container with #plasticeggs was washed ashore. Several 100 thousands of the toys are now lying at the #beach".
