'There are big problems' Outrage as migrant rapes soar by 133% – in just ONE YEAR
MIGRANTS have increasingly carried out vicious rapes in Austria this year, according to shocking new statistics.
Sexual assaults committed by migrants in Austria rose by 133 percent in 2016
There are big problems with other cultures
According to the Ministry of the Interior, a further 438 Austrians were involved in other sexual assaults.
But there were no official records on their country of origin.
National Councillor Christian Lausch, from the The Freedom Party of Austria, criticised these statistics for failing to show that “many of the 'Austrians' did in fact have an immigrant background”.
At present, about 47 per cent of the prisoners in Austrian jails are foreigners, data from Statista showed.
A member of law enforcement in Vienna's largest judicial institution, who did not want be named, said: “The number of 'real' Austrians [convicted] for rapes is negligible. There are big problems with other cultures.”
Austrian Interior minister Wolfgang Sobotka said that the uptick in assaults was deeply worrying
