Fugitive with sick tattoo 'marking girlfriend's death arrested after cutting her throat'
A GERMAN fugitive who is believed to have murdered his girlfriend by slitting her throat before kidnapping their young child has been arrested.
A suspected killed with a chilling tattoo has been arrested in Spain
The alleged killer was caught by police in Spain after leaving Germany, possibly with the intention of travelling to North Africa.
Investigators noted he had a new tattoo bearing the name of the victim, her date of birth and a cross with the date 27/10/2016 - possibly the day she was killed.
Included in the tattoo in Spanish are the words: “Thanks for everything."
After fleeing, the suspect is thought to have kept the 20-year-old victim’s Facebook profile active in an attempt to confuse worried friends and family members.
One post, which was uploaded after the woman's body had been discovered, showed their child by the Eiffel Tower in France.

The woman was found by police in late October in the town of Freyung, with her body inside rubbish bags and showing fatal wounds to her neck.
After fleeing Spain, German police suspected the fugitive was attempting to reach North Africa and so alerted their counterparts in Spain.

The alleged murderer slept in a hotel in Tarifa under his brother’s name, used two ATMS in Valladolid and crossed a motorway before being detected.
Their child, who is aged around 18 months, was discovered safe and well by police with the suspect. German social services are now en route to pick the child up.
