Teens shoot at police moments before killing themselves
Both 15-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were found dead following the standoff in Russia’s Pskov region in the north west of the country.
The incident took place after the boy reportedly shot the mother of the girl in the leg following a row over a sleepover.
Footage released on social media shows the boy aiming a weapon out of the window and firing off a number of rounds.
The pair also released images of them firing at police on Instagram as well as live streaming the shootout on Periscope, a video platform.
The teenagers had multiple weapons as they engaged in a shootout with police
At one point the duo can be heard laughing and joking inside the house while the teen fires off rounds at a police vehicle parked outside.
After police stormed the address where the pair had holed up, a spokesman said they had found two bodies belonging to a “girl and young man with clear signs of suicide”.
Russian media has labelled the teen couple “Romeo and Juliet” after they went on the run from their parents.
In one of their videos posted to Instagram the girl can be heard to say: “We had a sleepover at my friend’s place. I wasn’t allowed to go, but I went anyway.
The pair posted images online of their weapons, ammo and condoms

“They found me at night… it was harsh and it all happened in front of Denis and his mother. I ran away again.”
Before their deaths the pair were using social media to communicate with classmates, as well as drinking alcohol.
Anna Kuznetsova, Russian children's ombudswoman, told Tass: “This is a terrible tragedy. We’re looking into the circumstances and the details of what happened.”
The girl who appears in the video claims the pair had access to weapons and ammunition because her stepfather was in the “special forces”.
