HYUNDAI RECALL: Alert over more than 84,000 cars with air bag wiring issue
SOUTH Korean firm Hyundai has issued a warning over 84,000 cars because of a wiring problem.
The Genesis Coupes will be recalled from December
The Genesis Coupes from between 2010 and 2016 are all said to be based in the United States.
The recall comes as a result of a wiring problem potentially causing the front passenger air bag to malfunction.
Government documents show the bag can inflate when a child is in the seat or it can deploy with too little force to protect adults.
Hyundai insists there have been no reports of injuries and said dealers can secure the wiring.
The recall affects Coupes made between 2010 and 2016
The recall is expected to begin on December 2.
