Pensioner almost killed by petrol pump left in car that springs back as driver pulls away
THIS is the horrific moment an elderly man was almost killed after a petrol nozzle left in a car snapped violently backwards when the careless motorist drove off.
The shock footage shows blood profusely spilling out of the pensioner’s head after he was smacked in the head by the petrol nozzle.
The clip begins with the driver of the car refuelling his vehicle, leaving the pump in the tank and going to pay.
On his return however he failed to remove the nozzle, climbed into the car and carelessly drove off.

On the other side of the petrol pump an elderly man sees what is happening, and moves forward as if to raise the alarm with the driver.
But that puts him in the path of the nozzle, which at first stretched and then snapped violently backwards hitting him in the head and knocking him down, with blood pouring from his head onto the ground.
The nozzle was left in a car before it sprung back
Petrol station staff can be seen running over to provide assistance and called an ambulance.
The man was then rushed to hospital with serious head trauma.

Bystanders call the emergency services
Police are believed to be looking for the carless driver although no information was released, including what charges he might face, if any.
The footage was taken at a petrol station in the city of Ufa in Russia's south-western Republic of Bashkortostan.
