Martinez was immediately sent off and now faces a disciplinary hearing for his actions during the showdown in the Torneo de la URBA - a rugby union competition held in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
His club released a statement following the match, saying: "Pucara club denounces the unsporting conduct displayed during the match against San Albano.
“We wish to extend our sincere apologies to the injured player, the club and to the ruby world in general. Pucara Club will be taking disciplinary measures."
