Star Wars production company faces court over Harrison Ford's broken leg
THE production company behind the latest Star Wars film is to be prosecuted after Hollywood actor Harrison Ford broke his leg on set.
The 71 year old actor was struck by a hydraulic door on the set of The Force Awakens
Ford, then 71, was taken to hospital after he was struck by a hydraulic door while filming for Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
The actor, who had been reprising the role of Han Solo in the hit film at Pinewood Studios in Iver, Bucks, was forced to undergo rehab on the injury following surgery.

The Health and Safety Executive said it was prosecuting Foodles Production (UK) Ltd, a subsidiary of Disney, over four alleged health and safety breaches in June 2014.
A spokesman said: “Employers must take reasonable steps to protect workers. This is as true on a film set as a factory floor.”

The production company will appear at High Wycombe magistrates court on May 12.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the most successful film ever at the UK Box Office, and has taken more than £1.4 billion ($2 billion) worldwide to date.

Production of the next instalment in the long-running series, Star Wars: Episode VIII, has already got underway at Pinewood.
It is listed for release in December 2017, some four decades after the maiden Star Wars film – also starring Ford – first hit the big screen.
