A BRITISH mum nicknamed the “Barbie bandit” because of her stunning blonde looks has been accused of carrying out a spate of burglaries at luxury homes in Argentina.

Georgia Wawman was arrested by police after a number of houses and country clubs in exclusive gated communities close to Buenos Aires were targeted with expert raids.
The 26-year-old, originally from Marlborough in Wiltshire, is accused of taking part in sophisticated burglaries with her boyfriend and six other people which included dressing up as police officers.
But tonight her mother apparently accused authorities in Argentina of mistreating the blonde, claiming they sang songs about the Falklands shortly after arresting her.
She was later was released on bail without charge but police said she remains under investigation.
The mother-of-one, who has a son, is believed to have moved to the South American country in 2006 ago because her stepmother lives there.
She then apparently began dating her current boyfriend, who reportedly has a previous conviction for robbery.

Argentinian newspaper Clarin also printed an email sent to the paper from a woman claiming to be the her mother, who insisted she is innocent and accused the police of mistreatment.
The email read: "She was sleeping alone in her ex-boyfriend's house with her two-year-old child.
"She was woken around 5am by the door being broken down.
"A few seconds later her bed was surrounded by a group of police pointing their guns at her.
"The search warrant was for her ex-boyfriend, not her.
"After a short while the police said they were very sorry and there had been a mistake.
"Then they told her she had to accompany them to the police station to sign some forms.
"They confiscated her iPad and her phone and didn't allow her to make any calls

It added: "The police mistreated her in the most terrible way for around 10 hours.
"They insulted her and an official sang her a song about the Falkland Islands which really intimidated her.
"Then a doctor checked her and discovered she had high blood pressure and told the police she needed to rest.
"However they made her stand up for two hours, handcuffed, with her face against a wall. They also left her without food and water."

The crimes are said to have taken place in gated estates in upmarket areas north of the Argentine capital including Zarate, Campana and Escobar
In most of the 16 break-ins attributed to the gang last year, four armed raiders tied up their victims before emptying their homes.
Walkie-talkies, a wig, handcuffs, a balaclava and police uniforms were seized during the operation which led to the arrest of six Argentinian men aged 19 to 44, the British expat and a Paraguayan woman aged 31
A police source said: "In some cases the gang dressed up in police uniforms and cut through wires to enter properties.
"They used latex gloves to ensure there were no fingerprints."
Local media reported that Jose Mino, the 32-year-old father of Miss Wawman's child, was the intended target of the raid and said the Brit, from Marlborough in Wiltshire, had been arrested on suspicion of being an accomplice.
He was also bailed after being held at a separate address after police failed to locate a vehicle believed to have been used in the break-ins.
