Four dead and one missing after rubber dinghy capsizes off Greek island
A WOMAN and three children have drowned and another child is missing after their rubber dinghy capsized off a Greek island late last night.
The coast guard said it had rescued a further 13 migrants from the water after the incident close to the Aegean island of Kalymnos.
Thousands of refugees - mostly fleeing war-torn Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq - attempt the deadly crossing each day from nearby Turkey in flimsy, inflatable boats, often in rough seas.
On Thursday, seven people, including a baby and three children, drowned after their wooden boat and a coast guard vessel crashed off the island of Lesbos.
Almost 400,000 people have arrived in Greece this year, according to the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR.
