Three dead after Tokyo plane crash sets fire to several houses
THREE people were killed when a plane crashed in the Japanese capital of Tokyo and set fire to several houses.
Television footage shows the plane crashed upside down in the wreckage of a burnt-out house as firefighters and rescue officials scour the smoking ruins.
Two men inside the small plane and a woman who was inside one of the houses have been killed. Tokyo Fire Department officials said the three had suffered heart and lung failure.
Five people have been injured and rushed to hospital.
A woman told local media outlet NHK: "I heard a tremendous sound like a truck crashed into a house... When I looked outside from a window, fire was flaring up.
"The fire was blazing up so hard."
The fire department also said five houses and at least two cars had been set ablaze.
