Now THAT is fast food: DRONES used to deliver takeaways
WAITING for a takeaway just became a lot less agonising - thanks to DRONES being used for super speedy deliveries.
Drones have been used to deliver fast food in speedy times
The specially adapted devices use their claws to carry boxes of delicious food in the nick of time - slashing minutes off waiting around during peak periods.
Several restaurants tried out the 'Ghost Drone', which has been developed and used in China, to see if their orders could reach customers within 30 minutes.
Controlled by experienced courier-pilots using a mobile phone app after customers made their orders, the drones whizzed through the air to deliver food in double quick time.
In some cases clients got their orders in less than HALF the time it normally takes a bike courier.
The fastest delivery time recorded by the drones, which were built by manufacturer Ehang UAV, was 20 minutes.

Happy customer Heng Tsao said: "It was quick and easy. My order arrived in about 25 minutes which is much quicker than usual.
"Sometimes I can wait up to an hour. I would be happy to use the service again."
Huan She, 44, said: "I was not sure at first. I thought it was a bit unusual but my food arrived a lot faster than normal."
The drone delivery was trialled in Beijing.
It is not clear if or when the service will be rolled out to the rest of China or any other countries.
