VIDEO: The incredible moment a man in a wheelchair bungie jumps off a 170ft bridge
THIS is the incredible moment a disabled daredevil in a wheelchair bungee jumped off a 170 foot to swing over a rapidly flowing river in Canada.
Riley Martin tragically lost the use of his legs after being involved in a motorbike accident when 17 but he has not let his disability slow his down.
The brave 21-year-old was inspired to take the vertigo-inducing plunge on Satuday 28 September after seeing Canadian paralympian Rick Hanse doing the jump.
The thrill seeker decided to do the bungie jump while on a weekend break with his girlfriend in British Columbia and he was strapped into his wheelchair before being wheeled off the edge.
Riley said: "I was really nervous. The guys that hooked up the harnesses kept 'joking' about how it had been so long since they'd hooked up a guy in a wheelchair, that they had forgotten how to do it!
It's a totally different perspective once you get on the other side of the gates, ready to actually jump off
"But the guys at Whistler Bungee did a fine job with it and definitely knew what they were doing, but that didn't help my nerves.

"I'd like to say I'm a daredevil by nature, but since motorcycle accident back in 2009 I've been determined to try new things and see what I can and cannot do with my injury."
