University bus blast in Pakistan kills 11 women students
ELEVEN FEMALE students were killed in a blast that ripped through their university bus.
Then as the wounded were being taken into hospital, it also came under attack.
Explosions were heard inside the hospital in Quetta, capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, and gunmen fired from rooftops.
A senior city official was killed and security forces surrounded the building.
An upsurge in violence in the area has been blamed on both separatists and Islamists opposed to women’s education.
