Pakistan car bombing leaves 12 dead
A car bomb in south-west Pakistan has killed 11 policemen and a civilian.
Police officer Fayaz Sumbal said the morning bombing on the outskirts of Quetta city also wounded about 23 people.
A remote-controlled bomb in a car parked along a road targeted a vehicle carrying members of the police special forces.
Quetta is the capital of south-western Baluchistan province, which for years has been a centre of low-level insurgency by nationalists who want a greater share in regional natural resources.
The nationalists have also opposed the Pakistan parliamentary elections that were held on May 11.
