Iran’s ape in space
IRAN has successfully sent a monkey into space and brought it safely back to earth.
The rocket Pishgam, or Pioneer in Farsi, reached a height of 72 miles, state radio reported.
No other details were given except that the monkey returned to earth safely.

Iran has said it seeks to send an astronaut into space and plans for a new space centre were announced last year.
But there are fears technology from the space programme could also be used to develop long-range missiles that carry nuclear warheads.
