A teenager raped by a gang of migrants has revealed they threatened to kill her if she screamed. The 19-year-old was pulled out of her boyfriend's car by the attackers in a suburb of Rome, before being subjected to a brutal sexual assault.

Her 24-year-old fiancé was held down by members of the gang and forced to watch her terrifying ordeal. Despite also being told to remain silent on the pain of death, he managed to alert a passing police officer with his cries for help. The officer called for backup and went to the aid of the young couple, putting an end to the vicious attack.

Three Moroccans have since been arrested and detained by police, with searches ongoing for at least another two.

The 19-year-old victim gave police a detailed and graphic account of the attack as it unfolded, the MailOnline reports. According to her statement, the gang forced their way into the car and stole their valuables before dragging her out.

"They entered the car after smashing a window and took my cell phone from the seat," she said. "I reached out to get it back, and at that point one of them grabbed my arm and dragged me out."

She was told to keep silent, otherwise they threatened to kill her, as they led her towards a secluded area.

"'Come with me now, if you scream I'll kill you,' he said, forcing me toward the trees," she continued.

"But he wasn't alone; there was another man with him, making sure no one was coming. While he raped me, his friend kept watch to make sure no one was passing by."

One of the alleged attackers told police their intention was to steal the couple's phone and cash, and then to purchase some drugs.

He reportedly admitted that the group had done this around a dozen times already, targeting mostly prostitutes on Viale Palmiro Togliatti.
