Ukraine launched another wave of devastating drone attacks on Russia overnight, destroying a major arms depot containing North Korean missiles.

Kyiv has stepped up its aerial bombardment of Russia in the past few months, targeting oil depots, ammunition warehouses and airfields.

Zelensky's army is trying to disrupt supplies of fuel and weapons to the frontlines, where Russian forces continue to make advances, particularly in the Donbas.

Reports emerged yesterday that Putin's army had entered Toretsk following their capture of Vuhledar, with the situation described as being unstable by a spokesperson for the Ukrainian army.

In the early hours of this morning, Ukrainian UAVS targeted an arms depot in Karachev in the Bryansk region.

Residents reported hearing air raid sirens at 2am, before huge explosions were heard.

Video footage shot by residents shows the night sky lit up by a succession of bright orange flashes, while ammunition can be heard exploding.

The arms depot belongs to the 67th division of Russia's Main Missile and Artillery Directorate and is located 114 km (71 miles) from the border with Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed it had attacked the weapons storage, saying it contained missiles and artillery weapons, including those received recently from North Korea.

The storage also contained deadly guide bombs, which have been used to attack cities and towns across Ukraine, causing extensive damage and many civilian deaths and injuries.

Ukrainian officials said that many of the weapons had been stored in the open air, making them easy to hit.

A state of emergency has been declared by Russian authorities in Bryansk, as they attempt to bring the situation under control.

Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed their air defence systems had shot down 47 Ukrainian drones overnight, 24 of them over the Bryansk region.

It comes as a fire at an oil depot in Crimea continues to burn out of control, despite the best efforts of local firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

Drones hit an oil depot in the port city of Fedosia on Monday, causing a massive fire to break out and forcing some 300 residents to evacuate.

The depot is the largest fuel storage facility in the region that serves the occupying Russian military.
