The moment a convoy of Russian armoured vehicles was attacked has been captured on video and shared on social media.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said it had neutralised three vehicles - a tank, a mobile rocket launcher and an infantry transport vehicle - in the attack. It released a video which shows a huge fireball and explosion, from a variety of angles.

The Kyiv's MoD's official X account, Defense of Ukraine, said: "The night watch: Ukrainian warriors from the 68th Jaeger Brigade destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad MLRS, a tank, and an IFV."

Another video appeared to show a drone destroying a Russian armoured infantry vehicle - by dropping a grenade on top of it.

Defence of Ukraine said: "Bullseye! A grenade dropped from a drone destroyed a Russian BMP-2 IFV."

Another, released this morning (Wednesday, October 9), shows a Ukrainian fighter jet unleashing missiles as it zooms low across the countryside, banking and rolling.

The Defense of Ukraine account said: "Ukrainian pilots have already begun a productive Wednesday by sending fiery gifts to the occupiers."

It comes after Russia's daily losses reached grim new heights. September was the deadliest month for Russia's Army since it invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

Moscow saw its average casualty rate in Ukraine rise to 1,271 soldiers killed or badly injured per day, British military intelligence said yesterday (Monday, October 7). The Kremlin's grim new tactic - dubbed "meat wave assaults" - has been blamed for its spiralling casualties.

In an update this morning, Ukraine's MoD said it had "eliminated 1,150 enemy personnel yesterday - taking the total of Russian casualties suffered during the war to 664,120.

Ukraine also claimed to have destroyed four more of Russia's tanks, bringing the total to 8,944. It also said the number of destroyed Russian armoured fighting systems had risen to 17,751 after another 11 were taken out of action yesterday.

TheVolodmyr Zelensky's MoD also said it had destroyed 55 more vehicles and fuel tanks yesterday - bringing the total to 26,240. In addition, it claimed to have neutralised another 19 artillery systems and 31 more drones.

Quoting the late peace campaigner and Beatle John Lennon, the X account posted: "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
