The football pitch of the Santa Rosa club in the town of Purmamarca, Argentina, has been named the most beautiful in the world, according to Jujuy al Momento.

At the foot of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, or The Hill of Seven Colours, the pitch is located in the heart of one of Argentina's most remarkable landscapes.

‌The Cerro de los Siete Colores is a stunning mountain known for its multicoloured rock formations with hues ranging from reds to purples and greens, creating a natural spectacle.

The pitch, set against this geological wonder, adds to the dramatic scenery of Purmamarca, a small town in Jujuy.

Despite the arid and rocky terrain and the red earth serving as a challenge for footballers, the pitch's unique setting elevates its status, making it a dream for sports enthusiasts to kick the ball around in this incredible playground.

With markings in white lime and two simple goalposts with nets, the pitch is as basic as it is extraordinary, with the beauty of the breathtaking backdrop setting it apart from others.

This pitch in Purmamarca was also featured in ESPN’s documentary 'GreenLand,' a series which highlights some of the "most exotic and incredible soccer fields around the world".

The Santa Rosa stadium serves as the home ground for the Quebradeña Football League, a tournament with 14 participating teams from the surrounding areas of Humahuaca, Tilcara, Tumbaya, and Valle Grande.

Founded in 1921, the stadium has deep local significance and serves as a symbol of perseverance and community pride.

Purmamarca is a town home to just around 2000 people but it attracts many tourists thanks to the Cerro as well as the local handicraft market.
