British man in Spain dies in horror fall near hotel in front of shocked tourists

A British man has reportedly died after falling from the sixth-floor of a building in the Majorcan capital Palma, as Spanish police launched an investigation.

It's not yet known whether the man was a Majorca resident or a holidaymaker.
The ongoing investigation is being led by a Spanish National Police Homicide unit, although there is no suggestion at this stage that the death is being treated as suspicious, and have yet to release a statement.
The horror fall is said to have taken place near the well-known Saratoga Hotel, and several guests there are believed to have witnessed it.
Emergency responders were scrambled to the scene but sadly he could not be saved. It's just the latest in a series similar incidents involving Brits in recent weeks.
On Tuesday, a British teenager was rushed to hospital "seriously injured" after falling from the first floor of a different property in the city.
The 15-year-old girl was stabilised at the scene and taken to the capital's Son Espases Hospital. The incident took place in Sant Llorenc des Cardassar near to the Love Island villa in the Majorca's north east. The severity of the youngster’s injuries is said to have prompted authorities to activate a code red.
Last month, a Scottish teenager died in the early hours of August 20 after falling from a sixth-floor balcony at Hotel Vibra District in Ibiza. Emma Ramsay, 19, from Hamilton, had been on holiday with friends in the party resort of San Antonio.

Three days earlier, a 28-year-old British holidaymaker died in a 15ft fall at a hotel in Palmanova near Magaluf in Majorca after a night out.
The dead man’s partner had to be treated for a panic attack later in the day, according to reports. The incident took place at the four-star Reverence Mare Hotel in Palmanova.
The alarm was raised around 7am, although the Briton is believed to have fallen to his death several hours earlier.
Civil Guard investigators believe he suffered the fatal accident after attempting to enter the wrong hotel following a night out partying and losing his way during an attempted short-cut.
