Ukraine: Russian troops 'concealing true death toll' after bomb attack
THE RUSSIAN attack on the Mariupol Drama Theatre could be greater cause for concern than previously thought as the mayor of the city claims we may never know the true death toll of bombing.

Ukraine’s 24th Mechanized Brigade, the oldest continuous outfit within the nation’s ground forces, obliterated a Russian BMP-2 tank in the Luhansk Oblast region.
The territory is the most easterly former Russian zone and has been at the centre of fierce conflict since Vladimir Putin withdrew his forces closer to home after a failed offensive on the capital of Kyiv.
The 24th Brigade used one of around one hundred Stugna-P ATGM missiles available to Ukraine to destroy the tank.

We should not forget other crises amid Ukraine focus- UNHCR chief
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees warned on Friday that countries focused on the Ukraine war should not ignore crises elsewhere.
"Unfortunately the global displacement crisis is increasing.
I think an important message... is that there is not just Ukraine and we should not forget the rest," Filippo Grandi said before joining a meeting of EU development ministers in Brussels.
"First of all because Ukraine has an impact on many other fragile situations, making them more fragile, food security, energy crisis, price increases, instability and then this in turn can cause more displacement," he said.

Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok, who retired from the Russian army more than 20 years, has regularly appeared on state television to give his analysis on state television, and doesn't hold back against the Kremlin.
On a primetime Rossiya-1 TV show earlier this week, he admitted: “We are now in total geopolitical isolation. We don’t want to admit it. But practically, the whole world is against us.”
Video shows Ukraine's success fighting back
A graphic is able to detail Ukraine's fightback against Russia in the first 80 days of the war.

But by April 3, Ukraine had pushed the military out of Russian-controlled areas before they closed in on Kyiv.
Rusian troops then made significant withdrawals from northeast Ukraine.

ATP stripped Wimbledon of ranking points after Russian and Belarus players banned
Wimbledon will be stripped of ranking points over its decision to exclude players from Russia and Belarus from competing at the 2022 Championships, the men's ATP Tour said.
The move by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) is the first time players have been banned on grounds of nationality since the immediate post-World War Two era when German and Japanese players were excluded.
The ATP said the decision to ban athletes "undermines this principle and the integrity of the ATP ranking system. It is also inconsistent with our rankings agreement".
It added: ""Absent a change in circumstances, it is with great regret and reluctance that we see no option but to remove ATP ranking points from Wimbledon for 2022."

Russia to cut off natural gas flow to Finland
Russia's Gazprom has announced it will halt the flow of natural gas to Finland from Saturday morning.

"It is highly regrettable that natural gas supplies under our supply contract will now be halted," Gasum Chief Executive Mika Wiljanen said in a statement.
"However, we have been carefully preparing for this situation and provided that there will be no disruptions in the gas transmission network, we will be able to supply all our customers with gas in the coming months," he said.

Kremlin chaos as Putin's henchmen know 'war is lost' and coup fears erupt
Vladimir Putin's top security officials know the war in Ukraine is lost, and that a coup is now a realistic possibility, an expert has predicted.
Christo Grozez, a Bulgarian investigative journalist, believes GRU and FSB elites are the most likely to try and overthrow Putin, because they are aware of the truth on the ground.
He said that those elites are already attempting to send their families and money out of the country in preparation for Putin being toppled.
Mr Grozev said that one of the most likely things that could spark a coup is Putin ordering the use of nuclear weapons.
Speaking on Liberty Radio, he said: 'If Putin decides to give an order to use nuclear weapons, he must be sure that everyone along the chain will carry out this order.
"If one does not comply, then this will be a signal of insubordination. And perhaps even the physical death of Putin.
"Until he is sure that everyone will comply, he will not give this order."
