Five killed as trains crash in fog
Four trains have collided in two separate accidents caused by dense winter fog in northern India, killing five people and injuring about 50 others.
Senior police official Brij Lal said the first accident happened near Etawah southwest of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh state, when a train entering a station rammed another. Ten people, including the driver of one of the trains, were injured.
A second accident occurred near Kanpur southwest of Lucknow, killing five people and injuring 40 others.
Fog also delayed dozens of domestic and international flights in and out of New Delhi.
