China earthquake: Monster 6.4-magnitude quake rocks Chinese region
CHINA has been struck by a devastating 6.4-magnitude earthquake.
The disatater happened in Jiashi County of north west China's autonomus Xinjiang.
It was reported to have had a depth of 165m.
The China Earthquake Networks Center reported the earrhquake hit at around 9.21pm local time.
The quake’s epicenter was 56 kilometers (35 miles) from Peyzawat County.
Shaking was felt in the cities of Kashgar and Artux.

This is the third felt earthquake in Southern Xinjiang, China in the last 47 hours.
Some residents took to social media to share their fears over the tremors.
One person posted on Twitter: "Every hour the ground is shaking and we are not confident to go to sleep because."
Another added: "Did anyone else feel the earthquake?"
The Xinjiang region has a population of abour 22million people.
Earthquakes occur frequently in Xinjiang, which borders central Asia.
China is located in a seismically active zone and regularly suffers from powerful earthquakes.
Sichuan province was hit by an 8.0-magnitude earthquake on 12 March 2008 that killed around 70,000 people.
