Michelle Obama shares cute Instagram Christmas card - ‘signed’ by dogs Bo and Sunny
MICHELLE OBAMA has offered seasonal greetings from her family in a Christmas card shared on her Instagram page, complete with the paw-prints of dogs Bo and Sunny, in which the former first lady wishes her followers a “holiday season that sparkles with magic and wonder and a new year filled with peace and hope”.

The card, featuring a tree on the front and a red flower inside, is signed by former president Barack Obama, Mrs Obama, plus daughters Sasha and Malia, with the pair of Portuguese water dogs also making their own unique contribution. Mrs Obama also shared a personal message in a caption accompanying to card in which she thanked her fans on social media.
As we end this decade and begin the next one, let’s continue working to become even better - for ourselves and for each other.
In a reference to her memoir, published last year, she wrote: “This type of positive and thoughtful engagement from my ‘Becoming family’ is a reminder that there are millions of us out there constantly striving to become more mindful, compassionate, and caring people.

The family’s card did not feature a photograph - but the Obamas last month shared a picture of them to mark Thanksgiving, which was reportedly taken prior to 18-year-old Sasha’s prom in May.
Barack Obama has been seen during his family’s annual break in Hawaii over the winter holidays.
A clip uploaded to Instagram showed Mr Obama holding a baby called Levi at Mid-Pacific Country Club in Lanikai.
Levi’s mum, Krystle Ilar, later told the Huffington Post: “As I watched him hold my son, my heart overflowed.

“He was so genuine and so gentle with my son, Levi.
“When Levi gets older, my husband and I will share with him about how he got to be held and loved on by the 44th president.
“It’ll be a lesson to him on how no matter who you are in this world, it’s always important to stay true to your heart, remain humble, and always show Aloha to everyone.

Last year Mr Obama stunned youngsters at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC to deliver presents, with the event captured for posterity in a widely-shared clip.
The hospital, the same one Mrs Obama visits every year to read stories to the patients, welcomed Mr Obama, complete with festive Santa’s hat.
After leading staff and patients in a chorus of We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Mr Obama told them: “At a time that obviously is tough for folks, and as the dad of two girls, I can only imagine, in that situation, to have nurses, staff and doctors and people who are caring for them, and looking after them, and listening to them and just there for them and holding their hands.
“That’s the most important thing there is.
“What a great reminder of what the holiday spirit is supposed to be all about.”
On Monday, Mr Obama also tweeted a message to mark Hanukkah.
He posted: “On behalf of my family, Chag Sameach and Happy Hanukkah!
“As Jews around the world celebrate, let the menorah’s light remind us all of the miracles in our own lives.”
