What is Jeff Bezos’ net worth?
Following the drop in the Amazon shares, Mr Bezos' fortune has been knocked down to £82 billion ($103.9 billion).
He became the richest man in the world in July 2018 after his wealthy surpassed £115 billion ($150 billion).
Most of his money comes from Amazon which he helped to transform from a music and video-selling site in the 1990s to the largest e-commerce website today.
But the Amazon chief executive's net worth drop isn’t entirely due to the decline in Amazon shares.
Earlier this year the CEO divorced his wife MacKenzie Bezos.
He transferred a quarter of his Amazon stake as part of their divorce settlement.
MacKenzie Bezos is now worth £25.5 billion ($32.7 billion), and among the top twenty wealthiest people in the world.
MacKenzie said at the time she was “happy” to be giving her ex-husband 75 percent of their stock in Amazon along with voting control of her shares.
She also relinquished to him all of her interests in The Washington Post and the Blue Origin aerospace company.
The settlement made her the fourth-richest woman in the world.
She ranks behind Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, Alice Walton and Jacqueline Mars, according to Bloomberg.
