South Africa issues ARREST WARRANT for Grace Mugabe
SOUTH African authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Grace Muagbe, who is the wife of the former Zimbabwean leader Robert, over the alleged assault of a South African model in August 2017.

The South African Police Services spokesperson confirmed an arrest warrant was issued last Thursday. Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said: “I can confirm that a warrant for the arrest of Grace Mugabe was issued last Thursday.” The South African model Gabriella Engels accused Grace Mugabe of attacking her in August 2017.

The model wrote on Twitter the former first lady “ split my head open in 3 places. With an extension cord and plug to hit me."
Mrs Mugabe has said in the past she was acting in self defence after the model attacked her in a room where her two sons lived.
There has been no immediate comment from Mugabe or from any authority in Harare.
Grace has been seen as a potential success to her 94-year-old husband, Robert Mugabe, who has ruled the country since 1980.
The South African government had granted diplomatic immunity to Mrs Mugabe, but this year a court ruled that the decision to grant the immunity to Grace was illegal.
The South African advocacy group Afriforum has claimed Mrs Mugabe’s denial is a lie.
Mrs Mugabe has kept a low profile since her husband Robert was ousted from power in the November 2017 coup.
Elections in Zimbabwe in August were won by Mugabe's former righthand man in the ruling Zanu-PF party, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
When Mugabe was ousted in 2017, there was a brief military takeover when army generals stepped in to end the speculation he was lining up his wife to succeed him.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has said Mugabe has been in Singapore for medical care and now unable to walk because of ill health and old age.
