Michael Fish braves the storm as he gets a soaking
DESPITE sizzling temperatures veteran weatherman Michael Fish braved gale-force winds and torrential rain yesterday.
The former BBC forecaster took a soaking under the world’s first interactive storm when it paid a visit to London.
Designed to mimic the furious weather of the Isle of Skye, the 25ft installation is part of a promotion by Talisker Storm whiskey which is made on the island.
Visitors were also invited to whip up a tempest of wind, rain, lightning, fog and thunder during the evening using a set of controls.
Legendary weatherman Michael, 68, was the first to have a go although he ended up a little windswept in the process.
He said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of getting soaking wet, although I didn’t know I was going to need a change of clothes afterwards.
“The idea of being able to control the weather first hand is every weatherman’s dream come true.
“After years of experience with the weather, for once I will be able to predict the weather with absolute certainty.”
