Cheeky rugby calendar that made Customs cry foul
THESE rugby-playing Calendar Boyos faced the “sin bin” as they tried to raise funds.
The team stripped off and were snapped in cheeky poses in Wales for a calendar in aid of a paralysed player.
But they were well and truly rugby tackled when officials impounded 300 copies because it was thought “pornographic”.
Sharon Smith, 44, steward at Nantyglo RFC, in south Wales, was waiting for the calendars from printers in Germany. She said: “Customs thought they were pornographic and didn’t let them through.”
Our officers are the front line of preventing the importation of indecent and obscene material
The UK Border Agency said: “Our officers are the front line of preventing the importation of indecent and obscene material.”
The calendars, inspired by the famous WI women, finally arrived after Ms Smith filled in release forms.
That’s what you might call a Grand Slam.
