A mind-boggling psychological test claims to reveal your deepest personality traits using a riddle that challenges individuals to re-evaluate their priorities.

To ensure accuracy, it’s essential to approach the task with a clear head and commit to your initial instinct as it's said to represent your "truest thought".

Released on Reddit, the enigmatic conundrum invites participants to envision a journey home in a flashy sports car during an intense storm at night.

En route, they come across a bus stop where four individuals are desperately waiting for a ride.

Given the bus won’t arrive until morning and only three passengers can be accommodated in the car - strictly no rule-bending such as a child on a lap allowed - they must decide who to help.

The perplexing scenario described reads: "You stop your car and meet the four people: A pregnant woman who started to have excruciating pain and looks like she's on the verge of giving birth. She's pleading to be sent to any hospital or at least be helped while going into labour.

"A young child crying and screaming because he/she wandered away from his/her parents and home. The child doesn't know where his/her address is but knows the full name of his/her parents. He/she just wants to go back to his/her parents/home. A surgeon doctor with his briefcase that contains his medical tools. He needs to go to his hospital as soon as possible in order to perform a very critical surgery.

"The fourth person is someone who just wants to go home, but it happens that you already have known and met this person before. To you, that person is a very dear and close friend/love of your life/desired future spouse.

"It's been a very long time since you both seen each other. You've always wanted to meet this person again to reconnect and rebuild your relationship with him/her, and you can't find a better opportunity to do that, because if you don't take do it, chances are that you may not have that opportunity again."

Adding to the complications, you do not have a mobile phone so you cannot call anybody else for help, and there are no houses nearby to ask to use their landline.

It adds: "There's no one else on the road to help them but you. The bus stop is located away from any public facilities (hospitals, police stations) and houses, so no one can take it for a walk, especially in this kind of time and weather.

"What do you do in that kind of situation? How will you give your help and prioritise it for those people? Which one will you choose to be the first person to be helped? You have to think very quickly to come up with a solution for this predicament."

Take a second to consider how you'd handle this situation before the answer is revealed. The post continues: "This riddle also happens to be a personality test.

"Depending on who you choose first or the only one to help, it tells you what is your priority in your life."

The post adds: "The pregnant lady represents health, the doctor represents career, the lost child represents fatherhood/motherhood/family life and of course, the significant other represents love/friendship/marriage/any intimate relationship.

"Through this riddle/personality test, one would see how to react in a matter of life and death situation and what will be his/her priorities, or maybe how smart enough can one be to come up with a compromising solution that allows you to keep everything without the need to sacrifice one thing for something else."

Commenting on how they'd answer the riddle, one user said: "Assuming the fourth person is my dream girl: I would lend the sports car to the surgeon, and the pregnant woman goes along. Brownie points. I would stay at the bus stop with the dream girl and wait for the next bus, so we could take the lost child home. Extra brownie points. Track down the hospital, and get my sports car."

Another user chimed in: "Assuming I'm allowed to come back afterward - I'd take the pregnant lady first. Without medical help, both her and her child/children are in danger. I'd then go back for the surgeon as quickly as I could and get him to his surgery.

"I'd then go back for the child since I can't leave him/her alone, and take him either home or to a police station. Finally, I'd get my friend. I don't think they'd be mad because anyone would be mad at me in a life/death situation like that I doubt I'd associate with. If I can't get back in time, I'd still take the pregnant woman, since I'd be trying to save at least two lives."
