Hot weather maps reveal the exact date temperatures will incredibly skyrocket to nearly 20C across some parts of the UK.

Incredible weather maps have revealed the exact date temperatures will soar to nearly 20C in a late October heat blast.

WXCharts has forecast warmer weather for October 17, bringing with it higher temperatures.

Temperatures are set to be highest in the midlands (Birmingham, Luton), the East of England (Norwich, Cambridge) and the southeast (Brighton, Canterbury) where it will be between 17C and 19C.

The southwest (Plymouth, Exeter) and parts of the north (Manchester, Leeds) will be only slightly cooler, with temperatures between 16C and 18C.

Further north (Middlesbrough, Newcastle), Wales (Cardiff, Conwy) and Northern Ireland (Belfast, Derry) will see highs of between 14C and 16C.

It will be colder in the northern half of the British Isles, however. Most of Scotland will sit between 5C and 10C, with the Grampians seeing lows of between 0C and 5C.

The Met Office said of the period: “Increasing cloud and rain from the west marks a return to average temperatures, potentially rather warm at times in the south, however the new week also bringing longer spells of cloud and rain.

“Windiest in the northwest, generally light to moderate otherwise. Some bright spells for most as systems clear but the best of the bright weather to be found in the southeast, though even here rain likely at times through the week as fronts cross.”

Tonight:

Many will experience clear spells and showers, with thunderstorms affecting some southern parts of England. Scotland remains cloudy with bouts of rain.

Possible mist patches in any clear spells.

Wednesday:

The north east will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain. Elsewhere, expect some sunny spells with scattered showers.

The day will turn increasingly windy, particularly along the east coast.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

From Thursday, it will become colder with overnight frosts. Parts of the south will be largely dry with sunny spells, although some showers are still possible.

The north will be cloudier with frequent scattered showers.
