UK weather: Chart shows Arctic temperatures set to strike
Shocking weather charts show Britain faces sub-zero temperatures with chances of snow in highland areas and other parts of the country next week. Despite a brief two day period of slightly warmer temperatures, from Sunday, an arctic blast will begin its descent on the nation, threatening Britain with freezing temperatures and snow.
This cold snap is expected to hit the west coast of the UK and Scotland the hardest at first.
However, as these freezing temperatures spread across the country, the chance of snow and frosty conditions will increase throughout the UK.
Worrying weather maps from NetWeather.com show snowfall will begin on Sunday morning, December 8 in the Scottish Highlands.
As the day goes on the snow will rapidly move to other areas of the country, including the north of England and Wales.

The Met Office has warned of more unsettled weather from Sunday.
The weather agency says temperatures are “more likely” to “dip below normal” and allow and “increasing risk of wintry showers the further north you go.”
