The Brighton Pride Parade is set to take place today amidst a flock of vibrant and colourful celebrations in the seaside town.
Rivalling London’s landmark Pride Parade, Brighton’s event will see a route planned straight through the city centre.
This year’s pride theme is ‘Colour my World’, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic rainbow pride flag.
Supporters and members of LGBTQ+ communities will flood to the streets today in one of Brighton's most important and highly anticipated events.
What time does the Brighton Pride Parade start?
The Pride Parade will start at 11am today and will travel through Brighton’s centre, closing roads as it goes.
Starting from Hove lawns, the route will then head down West Street, North Road, past the spectacular royal pavilion, and towards St Peter’s Church on London Road.
The parade will also move past the Brighton railway station, before winding up at Preston Park for main entertainment and music.
Brighton Pride: Colourful celebrations take place by the coast
Along the Parade route different market stalls and street events will be placed for interested revellers.
However, the most exciting part of the parade will be the people taking part.
A vast number of different organisations have turned out to show their support for Pride, with many local and government bodies taking part.
Brighton and Hove council apparently had an overwhelming number of applications to walk among to parade, which will be viewed by approximately 300,000 people.

Who will take part in the Pride Parade?
Brighton & Hove council has specific pride sponsors taking part in the event, alongside important governing bodies.
These include local community groups, political representatives, faith groups, the NHS, Brighton Housing Trust, Sussex Police, Sussex Fire services, the Girl Guides, Scouts, and trade unions.
Most notably however will be those taking part in the main entertainment, including a appearances from huge musical stars.
This Saturday evening, Britney Spears will make a headline performance in Preston Park.
