Schoolboy, 16, admits stabbing girl, 15, in stomach as she waited to buy school dinner
A SCHOOLBOY has admitted knifing a teenage girl in the stomach as she waited in line for her morning school meal.
The 15-year-old girl was queuing when she was stabbed by the boy, 16, who then fled the scene.
Police scrambled to the scene at Testwood Sports College in Totton, near Southhampton, Hants on March 26, where they arrested the attacker.
The schoolgirl was brought to hospital to be treated for her injury.
At the time, Hampshire Constabulary said the young girl suffered a puncture wound to her abdomen but said she was not in a life-threatening condition.
It was alleged that the boy was the victims former boyfriend at the time of the attack.
Both cannot be named for legal reasons.
The teenage schoolboy admitted one count of wounding with intent and one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a video link at Southhampton Crown Court, Hants.
Judge Christopher Parker QC told the teenager his next court appearance will be July 4.
Testwood Sports College is attended by around 700 pupils, aged 11 to 16.
