Liverpool Street, which is one of the busiest travel hubs in London, was closed to traffic and pedestrians following the horrific attack, but the station continued to remain open.

Scotland Yard has launched a shocking 60 murder inquiries so far in 2018 after a sharp rise in violent crime in the capital.
Around 37 people have been fatally stabbed and 62 people killed in London since the beginning of the year.
Just last week, on Bank Holiday Monday, three teenage boys were injured in a series of stabbings across the capital.
Earlier in May an urgent review of London’s police tactics were launched after six people were stabbed.
Earlier this week, the mayor of London Sadiq Khan tweeted: “The Government is failing in its primary duty to ensure the safety and security of the public. Following massive government cuts to police forces over the course of nearly eight years, crime is rising across the country, particularly violent crime such as knife crime and robbery.”
