'Mid-air EMERGENCY' declared on British Airways flight after passenger becomes unwell
A BRITISH Airways flight from London Heathrow to Belfast Airport declared a mid-air emergency this afternoon.
British Airways flight BA 1418 has declared a midair emergency en route to Belfast
The plane left London Heathrow shortly after 5pm and declared a mid-air emergency.
Flight tracker AirLive tweeted: "British Airways #BA1418 to Belfast is declaring an emergency.”
But as of 18.35pm GMT, the flight to Belfast landed safely at its destination.

Following the safe landing of the flight, a spokesperson for British Airways told Express.co.uk that a member of the publlc had fallen ill.
Confirming the safe landing of flight BA1418, they said: "Our cabin crew cared for a customer who became unwell during the flight.
"The flight landed safely at Belfast airport."
