M5 TRAFFIC NEWS: Multi-vehicle crash causes major delays
A MUTI-VEHICLE collision on the M5 in Gloucestershire involving a lorry and two cars has caused mayhem on the motorway and long delays near Gloucester and Stroud.

The crash happened on the northbound carriageway just before junction 11a for the A417 Brickworth Bypass.
Emergency services are at the scene and a 40mph speed limit is in place.
A police spokesman said: ”Gloucestershire Constabulary, together with Fire and Ambulance services, are at the scene of a RTC between by Junction 11A of the M5 travelling north.
#M5 northbound between J12 - J11a. All lanes are now open after the earlier collision. There are long delays in the area, which should now begin to ease. Please take care on approach.

“One lane of the motorway has been closed and Matrix signs of speed limits of 40 miles per hour are in place. An articulated lorry and two cars are involved.

An eyewitness told GloucestershireLive: “There has been a bad crash on the motorway, it looks like a truck has hit a fence.
“It may be that a lorry and other cars may have been involved.”
One of the closed lanes was reopened at 9.40am and motorists were facing delays of around one hour.
