Thirsk car crash: Two dead and multiple injured in horror A61 crash in North Yorkshire
POLICE are is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after two teenagers died in three-car-smash on the A61 near Thirsk in North Yorkshire.

The crash happened between Busby Stoop and Carlton Miniott at around 9.25pm last night and involved ablack Ford Focus, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a green Volkswagen Bora.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed two young men, both believed to be 17-years-old, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A further seven people, including two children, were taken to hospital.
The stretch of road was closed overnight to allow emergency services to attend to the casualties and collision investigators to examine the scene. It reopened at 4.45am today.

The police spokesman said: “Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist the investigation.
“In particular, anyone who witnessed the collision or who was travelling in the area at the time with dashboard cameras in operation prior to the collision is urged to contact them.
“We are not in a position to name the deceased at this stage.”
