WINSTON CHURCHILL’s affair with Cara Delevingne’s great aunt revealed in new documentary.
Channel 4 documentary Churchill’s Secret Affair reveals war time Prime Minister’s secret affair with Cara Delevingne’s relative.
Sir Winston Churchill married his wife Clementine in 1908 however it was rumoured that he was having an affair with socialite Lady Doris Castlerosse, the great aunt of model and actress Cara Delevingne in the 1930s.
Their relationship has seemingly been confirmed in an 1985 interview with Churchill’s former private secretary Sir John Coalville.
Coalville said: “He certainly had an affair, a brief affair with Castlerosee as I think she was called. Doris Castlerosse, yes, that’s right.”
Two history professors, Exeter University professor Richard Toye and International historian Warren Dockter from Aberystwyth University, unearthed the interview for the Secret History series.

It is reported that the couple had four holidays together in the South of France during the 1930s and that the painting enthusiast even created at least two portraits of his lover.
Doris’s niece Caroline Delevingne said her mother had “many stores to tell” of her sister-in-law’s affair and went on to say: “When Winston was coming to visit her, the staff were all given the day off.“
