Barry Smith (R) has banned certain hairstyles in a bid to raise standards
Great Yarmouth Charter Academy’s Barry Smith wrote to parents saying the style was one of six banned haircuts.
The “McDonald’s” look originated from a social media trend poking fun at “chavvy” attire worn by teens who meet up at the fast food giant. It features a long curly perm on top, with very short sides and a floppy fringe.

Parents of nearly 1,000 pupils aged 11-16 at the Norfolk school received the warning.
