Robert Lewis also pointed the cutters at Magda Palos’s six-year-old daughter in a raid at the family’s £18 million mansion near Lord’s cricket ground in St John’s Wood, London.
Lewis then fled with £2million of jewellery in a briefcase.
Three weeks later, he lost control of a Mercedes in a police chase.
He threatened them with a machine pistol and was later arrested at his girlfriend’s at.

Lewis, 43, of Paddington, west London, had denied the raid but he was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court.
Judge Rosa Dean told him: “To threaten a child before her mother is a wicked thing to do.
“You even made her show that she was not wearing any jewellery so if she had had a wedding ring or engagement ring on you would have taken it.
“I must commend Mrs Palos for her bravery and strength of character when many of us would have collapsed.”
