Liverpool FC's Jon Flanagan admits kicking mother-of-two girlfriend in drunken rage
LIVERPOOL defender Jon Flanagan has pleaded guilty to assaulting his mother-of-two girlfriend in the street.

The 25-year-old footballer was charged after an incident on Duke Street in Liverpool city centre at around 3.20am on Friday 22nd.
Appearing in Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, the defender pleaded guilty to the charge of common assault against partner Rachael Wall.
The court heard he had been caught on CCTV during the incident.
He and Ms Wall have been in a relationship for 18 months, with the defence claiming both parties were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

District Judge Wendy Lloyd told the Liverpool player he would face a community penalty.
The judge confirmed she had been given the details of the CCTV footage, which showed Flanagan assaulting his partner on "several occasions” and kicking her.

She said: "I need to be reassured that these circumstances will never be repeated again."
Flanagan is due to be sentenced on January 17, and has been given unconditional bail.
The Liverpool-born defender has made more than 50 first-team appearances for Liverpool since making his debut aged 18.
He spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Burnley after 20 months out due to injury and has featured only once in the first team this season as the Anfield club were knocked out of the League Cup by Leicester City.
Flanagan won his England cap in a friendly before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where England crashed out of the group stage before Germany won the competition.
