Livingston named top UK property hotspot of 2017
A TOWN in West Lothian has been named the UK’s top property hotspot of 2017.
Homes are being sold in Livingston in an average of just 23 days
Homes in Livingston are selling in an average of just 23 days. That is around a third of the national average selling time of 67 days.
The findings from Rightmove also show that several other places in Scotland are in the Top Ten fastest selling areas.
Glasgow and Edinburgh feature among the best places for people to rent properties. But it is Livingston’s sales record which has caught the experts’ eye.
Simon Thomas, owner of RE/MAX Estate Agents in the town, said: “Supply has been quite tight which has led to buyers finding themselves up against a lot of competition to secure the home they want, which has led to properties selling more quickly than before.”
