A MOTORWAY service station near Heathrow has been labelled the worst in England.

Heston Services on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 scored a customer satisfaction rating of just 62 per cent in a survey of all 112 service areas in England by watchdog Transport Focus.
One reviewer described the west London site, built in 1968, as “dirty, old and tired”, while another said it was the “worst motorway services I’ve ever been to”.

Reading Services westbound on the M4 topped the table with a 100 per cent score.
Rivington Services northbound on the M61 in Anderton, Lancashire, came second.

Across all service stations 90 per cent said they were satisfied with their visit but just 64 per cent thought the food and drink was value for money.
A spokesman for Moto, which operates Heston and Reading services, said: “We recognise that in this instance we haven’t done as well as we should have.”
