Police receive abuse after entering a mosque with their shoes on
People inside the Townfield Mosque in High Wycombe shouted “get them out” after the police officers arrived to respond to a disagreement outside the religious building.
The officers had entered the mosque still wearing their shoes, which sparked outrage, as it against Islamic practice in a holy building.
They were quickly confronted by screaming worshippers as a man spoke over the Tannoy asking the police officers to leave the building.
But tensions quickly escalated with police telling one man to “chill”, as another male officer informed his colleague that people inside were being “aggresssive” over his radio.
